This Might Be the Weirdest Looking Aardvark We’ve Ever Seen
Having its translation in Afrikaan language as “earth pig,” these burrowing mammals with porcine snouts are Aardvarks! Earth pig, a nocturnal animal, sniffs out their meals- ants and termites using their powerful smell and long nose, lapping them up with a tongue that looks like an anteater covered in gummy saliva.
Their bodies are sticky and can be pink-gray or gray-brown. Their tails are usually short, and they find they reside in the sub-Saharan. Thanks to their insectivores sport large ears like rabbits that helps in dispersing heat and their highly resistant body to bites from insects. They have no reflective tissue, so their eyes can not glow in the absence of light.
