Hairless Tiger Is Not Your Average Jungle Animal
This is another hard-to-believe animal you would never think could be furless. This tiger is a species that adapts for survival even in the harshest of deserts. Its hair loss isn’t just for looks; it helps prevent overheating. However, there are also downsides to hair loss. At night, it becomes cold and hot during the daytime, the primary reason it has layers on the outer part of its body. These layers are responsible for preventing extreme heat. At night, it can remain warm, thanks to its thick layer of fat on the outer body. Finding food in the desert for the tiger isn’t easy, but this hairless creature has a gland in its throat for excess food storage whenever hunger comes.
The hairless tiger easily opens its gland and swallows food down its throat. The same storage process can be done with water; once there is dehydration, it can easily swallow. Like camels, the hairless tiger can vomit the food it has swallowed, digest it, and eat again. With these traits, the hairless tiger finds it easy to get used to any environment, even the harshest, preparing it for the heat of climate change.
