Hairless Primates Can Have Alopecia Like Humans
This is Cinder, another hairless chimpanzee found at the Saint Louis Zoo. The chimpanzee became hairless due to alopecia, an illness that affects both humans and animals, leading to baldness.
Cinder, thought dead, was a popular zoo animal that made the day of everyone that visited for 15 years. Even in death, many still love Cinder with a genuine passion. Cinder looks so happy despite their ailment.
