Confucianism is older than Greek philosophy
It is no secret that the East and the West see the world through wildly different perspectives. This is due, in great measure, to the sometimes opposing philosophies their cultures are built upon. Most Western countries follow the Greek tradition, while Confucianism is the basis of the majority of Asian countries.
That being said, Confucius predates some of the greatest Greek minds. The Chinese philosopher and politician died in 479 BC, ten years before Socrates was even born. It is interesting to think back to a time before either of these philosophies was around.
