Abraham Lincoln witnessed the death of John Quincy Adams
The death of the 6th president of the United States, John Quincy Adams, was quite public and traumatic. He was sitting in on a House of Representatives meeting when he suffered a massive cerebral hemorrhage that cost him his life.
He died right in front of some of the US’s most notable politicians, including Abraham Lincoln, who was already a congressman in 1848. A fun fact is that Adams is the only President to have known both George Washington and Lincoln.
