Nintendo started off making playing cards during the 19th century

It was founded in 1889 and initially produced a type of Japanese playing cards. The company gained international recognition with the release of Donkey Kong in 1981 as well as the Nintendo Entertainment System and Super Mario Bros. in 1985.
