An unsettling baby alpaca
Is there anything fluffier than an alpaca? They’re like almost like teddy bears. Their fur is so thick and soft that we’d love to stroke it all day. It’s also pretty warm, so people often shear these animals to knit sweaters and other winter clothes. However, alpacas don’t always look that fuzzy.
As we see in the picture, the fur of a newborn alpaca is slicked chiefly to its body. The baby needs plenty of heat to survive the first days, so it should stay close to its mother. We’ve never imagined such a fluffy animal would look so creepy without its fur.
