Cybertecture Egg Office
Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, has a 13-story commercial structure called The Cybertecture Egg. The Cybertecture Egg was created by architect James Law and Ove Arup’s building systems and engineering company. The Cybertecture Egg’s structure incorporates a diagrid -framework of diagonally intersecting metal or wood beams to construct roofs- exoskeleton.
This exoskeleton creates a rigid structural framework, enabling it to be constructed using less material than a conventional orthogonal building. The structure produces its own electricity on-site using solar photovoltaic panels, wind turbines, and a grey water recycling system.
