Ciudad de Les Artes I les Ciencies, Valencia, Spain
This is the most popular modern tourist destination in Valencia, Spain; the cultural and architectural complex, the City of Arts and Sciences, also known as Ciudad de Les Arts I Les Ciències. The River Turia’s former riverbed, which was emptied and diverted due to a disastrous flood in 1957, is where the City of Arts and Sciences is located.
The project, which Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela created, started its initial phases of development in July 1996 and was officially opened on April 16, 1998, when L’Hemisfèric first opened. It is a must-see if you love architecture and science.
