Garden of the Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal is one of the outstanding creations of man and is known for its history and intrinsic beauty. The Garden of Heaven had its concept coined from Persia by the Mughals in the form of the Timurid Garden. The symbolism of these gardens is derived from mystical Islamic texts describing paradise as a garden filled with abundant trees, flowers, plants, and water.
The gardens of the Taj Mahal are four sections and form a perfect square divided into four channels representing the four rivers of Paradise. The square is 300m wide and has a symbolic central part; it is also made of a terrace and a long marble fountain with perfectly divided sectors. The garden is also decorated with flowers, trees, and other beautifying features.
