Tuileries Gardens
The Tuileries Garden, also called Jardin des Tuileries, is a popular garden between the Louvre and the Place de la Concorde in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, France. It was developed by Catherine de’ Medic in 1574 and officially became accessible to the public in 1667.
The civil war haled the garden’s construction as everyone fled, and the garden’s remains were pillaged. Since Henry III fled in 1588, the new king, Henry IV, returned in 1595, alongside his landscape gardener, Claude Mollet, to restore and redesign the gardens. It is a beautiful sight to see and enjoy on a warm day.
