Being a firefighter during winter isn’t easy
Becoming a firefighter is no easy task. It requires hard work, long hours of training, dedication, and a sincere desire to help others. The job becomes even more complicated during winter when any sitting water instantly freezes, and the firefighter’s suits get so stiff that the people wearing them can barely move.
This volunteer firefighter from the Netherlands, for example, ended up frozen solid after putting off a fire on one of the islands. Not even harsh weather conditions could stop them from performing their life-saving task. They probably had to sit next to a heater for a few minutes before changing their clothes.
