The water in some lakes freezes in a strange way
For some people, there’s nothing more calm-inducing than standing near sparkling turquoise waters and hearing the sound of the waves. However, lakes don’t look the same during winter. Most of the time, these shallows freeze and become irregular surfaces with strange yet impressive patterns that blow our minds whenever we see them.
As we see here, the water in this lake froze weirdly. What happened here is that the lake didn’t freeze evenly, so the liquid waves broke up the thin ice until it became a bunch of tiny shards colliding with each other. Then, that giant mess froze entirely and created an incredible landscape.
