Ah, sports. Adored by Americans the country over. So much that folks will lose their sanity over their favorite tam. Obsessively analyze the games. Spend years of their lives watching and talking about sports. But not everyone is an avid sports fan. In fact, some of us (yours truly included) sometimes find them quite boring or too difficult to follow. Thankfully, there’s one common language we all speak, and that’s memes. The memes below somewhat bridge the gap between the sports-literate and sports-illiterate. Yep, even we got a good chuckle from some of these memes.
Who’s on First?
The meme featuring classic Spider-Man meeting himself will never go out of style. In this case, it showcases the common football issue of a player jumping offside. As you can see in the image below, both “offense” and “defense” are pointing fingers at each other. But it was their fault, ref!
If a football player really wanted to get the jump on the referees, he could employ the “Aaron Rogers Special.” Meaning, noticing it before the refs, and utilizing the free play that culminates from the defense flinching. Get a leg up! This meme might not resonate with everyone, but classic Spidey sure does.
