The fur of the platypus glows teal under a UV light
Platypuses are truly confusing, yet fascinating creatures. There are a number of strange facts about them. This animal completely confounds our expectations of mammals with its webbed feet, duck-like bill, and laying of eggs. It even produces venom. But the weirdest thing about them is that they glow under UV lights.
Is there anything that the platypus cannot do? Now it seems that, when you turn on the blacklights, this animal glows. Shining a UV light on a platypus makes the animal’s fur light up with a greenish-blue tint. This means that the Perry the Platypus is actually the correct color.
