Octopuses have three hearts and nine brains
Honestly, octopuses look way closer to aliens than animals on Earth. These intriguing animals are part of the family of the cephalopods and they are incredibly unique. They literally have three hearts that pump blue blood. However, the weirdest fact about them is that these sea creatures have more than one brain.
Unlike most creatures, octopuses have nine brains. In addition to a central one located between their eyes, they also have separate smaller brains at the base of each of their eight tentacles. Compared with most invertebrates, these animals are remarkably intelligent. And they are even capable of recognizing individual people.
