In Africa, certain tribes can communicate with honeyguides
The relationship between animals and people is truly fascinating. A great example to think about is how humans have literally domesticated wolves over thousands of years until they turned into the dogs we know today. In Africa, certain tribes have a special relationship with a bird species called honeyguides.
Apparently, the tribes can communicate with the birds to let them know when they are ready to go. After that, honeyguides lead them to the hidden beehives. Then, the people break the hives open and take the honey and leave the honeyguides the bee larva, and wax to feast on.
