Flat-Faced Longhorn
Flat-faced longhorns, or laminae as they are scientifically called, are members of the longhorn beetle family. Adult flat-faced longhorns can measure from 9 to 15 mm in length and are usually yellow and black or white and ivory.

Like most beetles, they pose no threat to humans but are considered serious pests in some areas. They mercilessly feed on and condemn plants by depositing larvae that burrow into the core of plants and destroy them. They may also destroy your wooden furniture if they are moist or rotten. Mind you, they may not sting or bite you, but you may feel a little pinch if it is provoked.
