Grey Ant
Unlike other ants which move in colonies, the grey ant likes its own space. It is solitary and larger than other ants. Like its name suggests, it is grey and has long antennae. It moves in irregular patterns and often burrows under the soil to loosen it and allow air and water to move freely.

The picture above shows its grey tone in contrast to the dark background, with fine hairs covering its entire body. The honey color of its forelegs and mouth is so eye-catching! One can mistake this insect for an alien by the large eyes!
