The planthopper is a magnificent insect, not because it excretes honeydew, a sweet-tasting by-product of its digestion, but because of its odd-looking shape. It has an enlarged and hollow head extension that may glow. These insects may grow up to 5 mm in tropical areas but are relatively small in cooler climates.
