There are too many names describing one insect, or what do you think? As the name suggests, this insect looks like a blend of all three creatures. Unlike most insects, the slug caterpillar moth does not have legs. Instead, it uses suckers to glide forward, resembling a sloth in its movement. Do not be fooled by its seemingly calm appearance, those spikes aren’t there for nothing. 

Moths are like the second cousins to butterflies, but they have been known to not share in that vibrant beauty, but this one beats that assumption. While it may not appear like it, it has wings. Even though it moves like a slug, it does fly. So, next time you think you’ve seen a caterpillar, take a closer look, you may just be staring at this beautiful moth.
