Bagous planatus is another member of the beetle family, but this particular species is considered a “true weevil.” This insect is native to North America.

In the image above, you can see its large eyes and protruding hairs all over its body; the truth is, it is not nearly as beautiful in real life. If aliens exist, I think they would look like this—fascinating yet scary.
