Several Bronze Age wagons were found underneath a lake
Experts believe that what is now Armenia was one of the first places humans settled in. This means that the country is home to many archeological sites that date back thousands of years. The Lachashen Settlement is one of those sites, and it was discovered after Lake Sevan’s waters receded.
It is believed that the findings were part of a very wealthy individual’s tomb complex. Several two- and four-wheeled carts were discovered, alongside many other treasures and animal carcasses. These are some of the best-preserved examples of how Bronze era cultures functioned.
