The first Star Wars movie came out in 1977 and was an instant hit. It quickly gathered a cult following. The franchise’s incredible popularity spawned eight future movies, several spin-offs, countless merchandise sales, and even an entire section at the Walt Disney World park in Orlando, Florida.
