Chronophobia – Fear of time or timers
The tick-tock sounds of clocks can be messing, soothing, and aggravating. It creates a sense of urgency and causes people to worry about certain tasks. Chronophobia can lead to panic attacks and social disorders as chromophobes are more likely to be in a rush to beat time.
Chronophobia is also common among the elderly, ill, imprisoned, or people in situations that demand urgency. This group of people worry excessively over their own life and obsess over time. With therapy or psychotherapy, people with chronophobia can live a better life.
