Avoid overusing social media
McLean Hospital states that when people look online and see that they are excluded from an activity, it can affect their thoughts, feelings, and physical health. And according to a 2018 British study, social media use is associated with decreased, disrupted, and delayed sleep.
In addition, multiple studies have found a strong link between excessive use of these platforms and an increased risk of anxiety, depression, loneliness, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. These websites and applications may promote negative experiences, such as feelings of inadequacy about your life or appearance.
