The ghost fleet of Chuuk Lagoon
This place is a legendary spot for divers from all over the world. Chuuk Lagoon, located in Micronesia, is home to more than seventy wrecks and downed aircraft due to Operation Hailstone in 1944. It’s also called ‘the cemetery of Japanese ships from WW2.’
The most creepy part about it is that one can still find many skeletons in cockpits and other parts of the vessels. These wrecks, including a submarine, each carry a remarkable story, and within their holds and engine rooms the extraordinary collection of the tools of War.
