The Mariana Trench, at the Pacific Ocean
It’s time to discover a place where life is not taken for granted. It’s probably one of the most challenging places on Earth to sustain life. At the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, the seafloor widens into a gaping abyss of obscurities and darkness. This is the Mariana Trench, a hidden world where fish, bacteria, and giant creatures live.
The infamous Mariana Trench conceals many odd marine creatures. It’s 2500 km long, five times longer than the Grand Canyon, and 69 km wide, making the trench a pure black void. At its deepest point, the Mariana Trench dips down into a little-explored zone of the Ocean. Many have tried to investigate it, but that’s a complex, almost impossible job.
