Snowy beach balls in Siberia
A rare phenomenon happened on a Russian beach in the Arctic Circle. Without explanation, residents from a remote Russian village saw thousands of giant ice spheres that had never been seen before in that area. Locals credit the power of the cold and wind for the creation of these huge snowy beach balls.
Who wouldn’t like to play with these unquestionably giant snowballs? The snowy spheres that were formed 900 miles northwest of Novorisk, Siberia, in 2016, had different sizes, from a tennis ball to almost three feet in diameter.
