The rescue team sent to retrieve the remains of Flight 19 also went missing in Bermuda Triangle
On the same night as the missing five planes, a response team was sent out to investigate what happened and redirect the lost airmen home. The rescue team flew the Martin PBM Mariner, an American patrol bomber flying boat of World War II and the early Cold War era.
This incident occurred on the same night of December 5, 1945, when all five planes of Flight-19 went missing in the infamous Bermuda Triangle area. The US Navy ordered to send two Martin Mariner planes to start the search operation and locate the Flight-19 planes. The two planes in the mission, Training-32 and Training-49, left the base and were never seen again.
