A famous tragedy of the Bermuda Triangle is Flight 19
Flight 19 was the code name of a group of five TBM Avenger torpedo bombers that were to cross the Bermuda Triangle during a training flight. This event took place on December 5, 1945, and is believed to be one of the mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle.
Before the crash, all flying jets were fueled and checked properly; however, the only missing equipment were the clocks, but they believed there was no need as each pilot had a personal watch. However, they lost their sense of direction and called the base for help as the weather worsened. The compasses also stopped working, and there was no way to go back home, leading to the crash of everyone onboard.
