There is a massive blast of cold air that is strong enough to wreck ships
Many sailors and seamen have talked about the usual powerful downdraft of cold air and its effects on their boats. These claims have been verified as cold air blasts were suspected of causing the sinking of Pride of Baltimore on May 14, 1986.
To explain this usual event, a National Hurricane Center satellite specialist, James Lushine, stated that during terrible weather conditions, there is likely to be a downburst of cold air that hits the surrounding surface like a bomb and then explode outward like a giant gust of wind and water.
