It did not rank high in the top danger zones in the ocean
In 2013, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) released a comprehensive list showing the top 10 most dangerous seas and oceans, and we carefully searched for the Bermuda Triangle there; it was nowhere to be found.
The list resulted from an exhaustive study of maritime shipping lanes, and on the list were the South China Sea and East Indies, the East Mediterranean and the Black Sea, the North Sea, and the British Isles. Their dangers did not arise from the number of pirate attacks but from the high frequency of shipping accidents that affect both human and marine life.
