You can use the intestines of the pig to make chitlins
Chitterlings, which can also be called chitlins or chitlins, are the cooked intestines of some animals. In general, they are usually made from pigs’ intestines. And they can also be filled with forcemeat to make sausage. But in colonial times, the lower classes had their own ways of preparing it.
During these times, what you ate was an indicator of your status. Meat was the most expensive part of the animal, and chitlins were left for the lower classes. You can still find it in the South of the United States fried up or boiled and served with vinegar and hot sauce.
