Moose are huge
Moose, or elk as they are called in Europe and Asia, are part of the deer family. They have antlers and live in similar ecosystems to their cousins. These similarities are why people often expect them to be around the same size as deer.
In reality, moose grow to be between 4 feet, 7 inches and 6 feet, 11 inches in height. They are among the largest terrestrial animal species that inhabit North America, Europe, and Siberia, second only to certain species of bison.
