Looking at common objects through a microscope shows a different perspective
There are times when taking a closer look at something can reveal aspects of it that were previously unseen. Microscopic photographs are the best example of this principle. This is how a grain of salt looks when it is seen through a microscope.
Their blocky, rugged shapes seem very much like the worn-down stones that were used to build Aztec pyramids. If this is hard to believe, look some up online. We never expected these grains of salt to look so perfectly square or symmetrical. Nature has outdone itself here.
