There is a beach in Iceland that has black sand
When most people think of relaxing by the sea, they imagine a beach with pristine white sands. However, there are several different types of coasts all over the world. A very unique one is located in Southern Iceland, and it genuinely has black sand.
The unique color is because it is made out of volcanic rock. The beach features three basalt sea stacks called Reynisdrangar. Local folklore claims that these columns were once trolls that were turned into stone by sunlight.
