The Amazon is both rainforest and a river
The Amazon is perhaps the richest territory in the world as regards biodiversity and natural resources. Both the river and the rainforest contain sights that do not exist anywhere else. The majority of the forest is located in Brazil, followed by Peru and Colombia.
The jungle represents over half of the planet’s remaining rainforests. There is more biodiversity in the Amazon than in any other part of the world, and many areas are so hard to access that they have remained virtually untouched.
