The Great Pyramid of Giza is the only ancient wonder that is still standing
Out of the top seven wonders of the ancient world, the only one still standing today is the Great Pyramid of Giza, which is ironic because it is also the oldest. It was constructed in the early 26th century BC and was meant to serve as a tomb for pharaoh Khufu of the Fourth Dynasty.
It originally stood at 481 feet and was the tallest man-made structure for about 3,800 years. It is shorter now because it had a limestone casing that was removed.
