Calling all Bibliophiles: This Article Contains Must-Have Reading Gadgets

May 5, 2025 by Shelley Thompson

If you or someone close to you is a self-proclaimed bibliophile, then you already understand that reading is a whole thing; first, you gotta have just the right book, then it’s all about finding your spot, do you go couch? Comfy leather chair? Next question, blanket or no blanket? Then lighting, are you an all lights on kind of person, or do you prefer a few candles and one lamp? And most importantly the snack and drink option; personally we prefer a big mug of hot coffee and a few shortbread cookies, but we’re also choosing the battle of crumbs in book, so anyway, all of this to say it’s a thing, but a thing we do with love both for our mental health, as well as our emotional health, and we look forward to the times we get to ourselves to get lost in the pages of a book. The reason we’ve brought you here today, however, is to let you know that there are a number of gadgets on the market that make this experience even more delightful. (Crazy, right?)

Wireless Eye Massager

No, we aren’t kidding. Reading can be really hard on your eyes and most of us are using our peepers all day long. This wireless eye massager pretty much acts as a hot compress, but with music! Basically, you’ll put this on for about fifteen minutes before you hit the sack, and it will help with eye strain, dry eyes, and even help improve your sleeping! Buy here.

Prism Spectacles

Okay, we know these look a little ridiculous, but does it really matter if it means you can read while laying down comfortably?! Not only are these good for your eyes but they’re good for your spine too, no more straining either of those body parts! Get ‘em here.

Thumb Book Page Holder

If you still fancy reading books the old-fashioned way (no judgment, we’re right there with ya!) then you gotta have this thumb book page holder! It does exactly what you would expect it to do which is hold your book open so it isn’t floppin’ around on you. A thumb book page holder also ensures that you’ll have one hand free for sipping coffee, dunking your cookie into your coffee, petting your four-legged family member, or whatever. Buy it here.

Rechargeable Book Light for Glasses

Book lights are great and come in handy if you don’t want to disturb your partner while you read for hours on end in bed, but sometimes they’re a little clunky, they tend to fall over, and if you’re like us, you find yourself moving it a lot, but we think we’ve found a solution in this book light that clips right to your glasses! This light will clip onto any pair of glasses and even hair accessories, and with a fully charged light, you can read for 800 pages! Buy it here.
