These antique books were found in a Goodwill store
As the saying goes: one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. This seems to be relatively true when it comes to Goodwill donations. People have found amazing objects for cheap by scouring through these charity shops. Take this person, for example, who found two antique books at their local Goodwill.
They both date back to the 1700s. The one on the right is a school book about Greek mythology, and the one on the left is a collection of letters by Pliny the younger, a famous Ancient Roman lawyer, author, and magistrate. Pliny’s letters, in particular, provided invaluable testimony about several key happenings of Roman times, such as the eruption of Mt Vesuvius.
