Information may exist within a black hole
A black hole is so densely fortified that nothing that gets in can get out. This includes light, sound, and more. However, what about information? The laws of quantum physics explain that information cannot be destroyed, so what happens to information if it gets into a black hole? Many scientists have argued that information can escape a black hole, and others have said it’ll follow the same principle as others.
Hawking, however, explained that it’s neither. Information never truly enters a black hole. Instead, it lingers within the boundaries of the event horizon. So rather than getting destroyed, it just gets smeared and remains on the surface of the black hole. Eventually, the information can escape when radiation happens but possibly in a chaotic fashion with zero use. This theory gives room to believe that black holes are not the eternal prisons science once thought them to be.
