There are black holes in every galaxy
Here is a fun fact: there is a black hole in every galaxy. Galaxies are like the gated home of stars and planets. Besides the Milky Way Galaxy, there are many other identifiable galaxies millions of light-years away from us. Most galaxies are enormous, and scientists are still learning about ours to understand others. They have learned that there is a black hole in most galaxies.
With the help of specialized tools, astronomers and astrophysicists have identified that almost every galaxy has a supermassive black hole at its center. They believe that these black holes help keep each galaxy together. Earth’s closest Supermassive black hole is Sagittarius A, about 4 million times the Sun’s mass. It remains the clearest sample of a black hole that astronomers use to understand the flow of neighboring matter.
