Black holes have a speed limit in space
It’s shocking to hear that something as powerful as a black hole is limited to speed, like when you drive a car. But much like anything else in this world, there are laws that must be abided by. Black holes follow a celestial law set by the universe.
The black hole created from a collapsed star rotates at an increasing speed to ensure that the initial momentum remains. However, there are rules to how fast it spins. A small horizon will spin faster than a larger horizon. According to records, our galaxy’s biggest stellar black hole rotates 1,150 times per second. There are other black holes recorded to spin at 84% of the speed of light.
