This meme shows how many science students feel, especially in their early stages of studying science. In the image, the textbook tries to explain some things using a penguin. The book goes on to ask the students to imagine the penguins as being circular cylinders. 

The student becomes very deeply invested and goes into an imaginary place where penguins are cylinders. This is comical because most times, the expectations and examples of textbooks are wild, and you are left using less science just to understand the question and more imagination and art to get the full picture of what the book wants you to understand.
