A Gift Guide for Science Nerds

May 15, 2025 by Shelley Thompson

Science is just plain awesome, every aspect of it. And gifts marketed toward lovers of science? Some of the coolest, most creative products we’ve seen. Some are witty, some educational, no matter what you prefer, there’s certainly no shortage of gift options for the science geek in your life.

Levitating Moon Lamp

Okay, we don’t think you have to be a science nerd to appreciate this levitating moon lamp, but a science nerd could probably tell you a thing or two about the moon, and that’s pretty cool. What we love and kinda geek out about is that these lamps are made with advanced 3D printing technology to make this lamp feel like the real moon! Come on, you have to admit that’s pretty cool. (buy it here!)

Oil and Vinegar Flask Set

Tell us this isn’t the perfect gift for someone who likes creating science in a lab as well as in the kitchen! (buy it here!)

Caffeine Glass Mug

First things first, we couldn’t break down the chemical compounds, err, whatever, of caffeine if our life depended on it, but someone who understands this is sure to appreciate it. And hey, if you’re the science lover looking to nab your caffeine-loving friend the perfect gift, they’re sure to always think of you when they use this mug! (buy it here!)

Women in Science Postcards

These postcards are kinda the gift that keeps on giving, you know? Each postcard features a woman that has made major contributions in the science world, her name, an illustration, what she is known for, and a quote. We love this set because you get 100 in the box, and the box features 50 women, so you get to keep one and give one away with a nice handwritten note. See? It just keeps on giving. (buy it here!)

Chemistry Lab Cookie Cutter Set

First of all, if we could get the science behind cookie dough holding its shape while in the oven so the cookies don’t just turn into blobs, that would be awesome, asking for a friend, thanks. Second of all, how adorable are these cookie cutters? We personally think the most fun part is getting to decorate them, we suggest edible glitter, and of course, eating them. (but it here!)

Brain Specimen Coaster Set

We’ll get right into it: as you stack these coasters, they build an entire brain. Our minds were blown, this may be the coolest gift ever. (buy it here!)
